An ode to wandering thoughts Ft. Prachi Tulsyan

Humans are the vivid books,  the wide world’s a shelf. Collecting highs-n-lows in minute nooks As a cloud, we wander all by ourself. Floating over hills and valleys,  Rushing through turvy alleys, For life has become a blissful solitude With deep self-introspection on higher magnitude In the hope of leaving chaos behind When all at once I see a crowd lined Beneath the trees, Beside the lakes Between the lines, below the breaks Along the margin of a bay,  Continuous like the stars twinkle on the Milky Way There’s a plethora of thoughts Sweet, sour, empty, fulfilling, Thoughts over sipping coffee pot Flashing on us from various spots. Thoughts are like glaring buyers in the market Unfeasible to be bound in ending brackets.

The Falling Leaf Ft. Shubham Joshi

A leaf fell, From the tree, Young it was, Wanted to be free. He took pride, In his choice of path, Left his branch, For a serene embrace. Laying there he saw, A breeze of wind, He fell in love with, And got intertwined. She graced elegantly, Picked him up in a swift, He felt elevated, His heart in a drift. She moved ahead, With her speed and grace, He felt dragged, With weight and disgrace. He fell to the ground lifeless, She moved ahead and, A little far,  She dissolved without a trace.  So is the story of the leaf and breeze

Mind At 30 Past 5 Ft. Sadee Radhika

30 past 5, Was thinking of my college days probably the best time we all have in our lives, because the memories are so worthwhile and beautiful. As it gets cooler and quiet 30 past 6, and I see those shades of the sky, looking upon me. Walking or driving, Talking or texting, I can listen to the cuckoo’s voice, some unwanted horns and some children giggling and running and quarrelling, the beautiful childhood. This takes me back to my pre-teens when me and my friends used to cycle and play Ma used to remind of the time to home and books 30 past 7, it got even quieter and not so joyous then, but today it’s all beautiful and so will now be when my hair grows white and I’m left with no tooth, because it’s all beautiful in memories and childhood.

If People Were Places Ft. Ayushman Harlalka

If people were places I would visit the amusement park Know your happiness, your craze, your spark Ride the Ferris wheel of your dreams, The roller coaster of your thrills. Eat cotton candy Made with clouds of your sky.  If people were places, Would your cells be your inhabitants? Glorious little boys, red, transparent or white. Amid bony mountains covered in your might. Would veins be your trees? Stretching and blue, growing endlessly Or would hair be a swamp? A dark place, yet tender and warm.  If people were places, Could we be small? The base of a coffee cup The top of a balloon The inside of a kaleidoscope The underside of a hippo  Would be fun to see what we see. If people were places Would I see peace treaties? Friends mingling at a metropolitan party. Or glorious battles as your selves fight Little soldiers, in red, transparent or white, Saving you with all their caliber, Because at the end, you do have that rigour.  If people were places, Would you walk with me? We would eat a

Insomnia Ft. Saloni Jaiswal

A bleak, dreary night with monsters disguised, Weary I feel not getting any sleep Monsters in my mind begin to prick, keeping me awake A little sleep was on its way, but inner demons woke me with a shake Twist and turns, and yet I lie sleepless Insecurities, fear and doubt fester in my mind like a disease Tried running away, tried distracting myself but there is no reprieve The ghost of my past failures bestow their tyranny Failure; a simple but strong word that shakes the core of many Society describes it as not falling into its norm But it forgets that people come in different shape, sizes, and form One shoe does not fit all, nor do people aspire the same Then why are we all measured with the same scale and non-conformity is considered lame All these thoughts foray into a storm of wishes and yearn         My inner demons continue to taunt and giving my stomach a churn But then my mind gave me a flash of good memories, something to hold on to Mom’s caress, sibling hug, friend’s smil
